EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION CURRICULUM
From our unique facility, to our structured programs, Peace of Mind celebrates each child enrolled here and the possibilities the future holds for them. Our curriculum supports an education philosophy of providing a safe and loving environment where children are allowed to explore, learn, and grow.
To ensure each child’s needs are met, we adhere to a low child/teacher ratio.
Both
Peace of Mind Early Education Center and
Footprints Academy, our
onsite private K-6 elementary school, honor a
rigorous curriculum. We are one of the
only preschool in the area using the
Core Knowledge curriculum.
Infants
Learning begins in the infant program with sign language, music, and a
scope and sequence exclusive to our program.
Our curriculum is aligned to MN State Standards and is designed
to meet each child's developmental needs.
Toddlers
The
dedicated toddler staff continues our hand's on learning
philosophy by creating an atmosphere that keeps even the busiest
toddlers engaged and excited about learning. Language
enrichment, music, science, art, and sign language are program
features which continue through the pre-school years.
Our unique building includes a full-size, on-site gymnasium to
facilitate learning and growth through physical activity.
Preschool and Core Knowledge
Peace
of Mind is the only Core
Knowledge program in Woodbury. Core Knowledge is based on a
system which scaffolds curriculum for ages 3, 4, and 5.
This system, as well as additional tools for learning, builds
upon what children already know.
A comprehensive assessment tool within Core Knowledge ensures a
partnership between teachers and parents to bridge a home school
relationship. The
combination creates truly remarkable results.
